1/ A useful PSA about accountability: Sometimes when you raise a small, specific concern, the response is enormous. Suddenly you're discussing conspiracies, betrayals, ancient grievances, hidden motives, and everybody else's misconduct. Notice the change in scale.

1/ Most people don’t think in terms of “narratives.” They want to know what happened. But “what happened” and the story told about what happened are different things. Truth is constrained by evidence. A narrative can be edited until it produces the desired conclusion.
