I've been trying to put all the services on my #homelab behind an authentication service but a bunch don't support anything. Wrapping auth into a reverse proxy works until you try to run a service like Navidrome which apparently has to support an archaic auth for the API.

I setup Kiwix on the #homelab and it's got a number of cool datasets available. I just need to configure regular updates.

The amount of technical people underestimate the complexity of Nine PBS running their own local backup of their data is wild to me. It's so much more work than "buy nas with a couple of hard drives".
