I had this idea a few years ago that spiraled into this world building: What if Voldemort had went after James not because he was in the Order but because he was the legitimate pureblood Gaunt heir through a maternal line.
This is the story of how newly presented Omega Black attempted to escape a political marriage only to flee to where his brother had taken refuge. Some how the Potters had been able to keep Sirius away from the Powerful House of Black and its allies they must be able to keep him from getting married before he graduates right. Except he’s in heat… and Sirius catches him in James bed. He then learns that of all people James Potter is as rich and well bred an alpha as his brother… he’s for more annoying… and handsome though. -
