What happens when a strange piece of wood ends up in the hands of a puppet maker named Camila Noceda, and she decides to build a puppet with the features of the daughter she never had? And what happens when a not always reliable fairy decides that it's not such a bad idea to try to animate such puppet? And what happens if this puppet is particularly mischievous, naughty, and with a certain ability to always get into the most absurd trouble? This is the story of Luz Noceda, a puppet who embarks on the difficult journey of life in a world populated by fairies, tricksters, talking animals, shape-shifting creatures and unspeakably dangerous sea monsters, in the hope that perhaps, one day, she will be able to become a real girl.
This is a rewrite of my first story on AO3, "The adventures of Luz Noceda: story of a wooden girl," which I decided to bring back three years after finishing it. For anyone who doesn't know, it's the story of Pinocchio, but with Luz as the protagonist, enriched with new story arcs, moments of personal growth, Lumity (obviously, we want Lumity), and a lot of other really nice details. The original story ran for a whopping 218 chapters, so this rewrite promises to be even better. Happy reading!

even if it meant he would be punished just as terribly as his uncle, actually, he deserved worse.
Because as a grimwalker, he was nothing more than an extension of the man who had created him. And he deserved to suffer a fate much worse than whatever was given to the man who created him.

Set during the Events of Chapter 56 and onward of @Marzek's "A Lost Owl": Amity has been taken captive by the Core; Andrias and his forces kidnapped most of the Boiling Isles' remaining population; Belos killed several CATs members, and the morale of the CATs is at an all-time low. The CATs, led by the Half-Titan Luz, have had enough. Running on fumes, they need to do something drastic to get their people back: Anne needs Marcy, Olivia needs Yunan, but most of all, Luz needs Amity. She and her remaining allies mount one final offensive against the Core and its mechanical soldiers to reclaim what they lost, praying they aren't too late. Meanwhile, the Core waits, preparing everything for the battle they know is coming, with a suspicious eye on the enigmatic Emperor Belos, who laughs because he's about to make the Isles regret turning a blind eye to him and make them rue what he's found. (Note: this may be the "Happier" ending to ALO Arc 3, but it's not a perfect ending. This is still A Lost Owl adjacent. Don't go into this expecting things to go perfectly. Expect tragedy)

What surprises them is the small baby wrapped around her torso with the same hair and a lighter skin tone then them. A perfect balance between them and Eda.

Raine figures out that Eda hid her pregnancy from them and wants to be in her and the baby's life. So they do the only thing they think they can do.

(In case the preface wasn't explanatory enough, this is basically the story of Pinocchio but with our Luz as the protagonist. I state that the story will be mainly inspired by Collodi's original work, but I will also add some elements from the Disney film and others, plus separate episodes of my own total invention (sorry for the narrative license, but after all, it's not an Owl House fanfic without a little Lumity!). So... let's try this crazy experiment, and see how far it takes us!)
