When you hide a comment from a post on your Page:
  • The comment will still be visible to the person who wrote it and their friends. This can help prevent more unwanted comments.
  • The comment will be hidden for everyone else.
  • Replies to the comment will also be hidden. If you want to hide specific replies to a comment, you can select and hide each reply separately. If you only hide replies to a comment, the original comment will still be visible to everyone.
When you delete a comment from a post on your Page, the comment will be removed from the post. Learn how to delete comments from your Page.
If you have Facebook access to a Page, you can switch into the Page on Facebook and hide comments on Page posts. If you have task access to a Page, you can’t hide comments on Page posts.
Keep in mind: Hidden by This Page is only available from a computer or the Facebook app for Android at this time.

Hide comments

To hide a comment and its replies from a post on your Page:
  1. From your Page, go to the post that has a comment you want to hide.
  2. Next to the comment you want to hide, hover over Options, then click Hide comment.
To unhide a comment and its replies from a post on your Page:
  1. From your Page, go to the post that has a comment you want to unhide.
  2. At the top of the comments section, click Most Relevant, then select Hidden by This Page.
  3. Go to the comment you want to unhide, then follow one of these options:
    • Below the comment, click Unhide.
    • Hover over Options, then click Unhide comment.

Sort hidden comments

To sort comments on a post, you can use the dropdown menu in the comments section of a post. When you select Hidden by This Page from the dropdown menu, you’ll see all hidden comments of that post.
The comment ranking setting must be turned on in order to sort hidden comments. Comment ranking is turned on for Pages by default, but you can turn it off at any time.
To sort hidden comments on a post on your Page:
  1. From your Page, go to the post that has hidden comments.
  2. At the top of the comment section, click Most Relevant.
  3. Select Hidden by This Page. From here, you can:
    • See the comments and replies that you chose to hide. If you only chose to hide replies to a comment, you’ll also see the original comment. You’ll also see comments that are automatically hidden by the profanity filter and comments that have words that you chose to block from your Page.
    • Unhide a comment by clicking Unhide below the comment.
    • Block or report a profile. Go to the comment from a profile that you want to block or report, then hover over the profile name. Click Options, then select Block or Report profile.
After you hide a comment, you can report it from the comments section if it doesn't follow our Community Standards. Next to the comment, click Options, then select Report comment.
You can ban the profile or Page that made the comment by going directly to the profile or Page.
