Work Text:
Sanemi dropped down on his bed with a heavy, frankly dramatic, groan. Going shopping wasn't really difficult or exhausting, and at least gave him something to do, but the idea of dragging himself out of the comfort of his house during summer felt like hell.
Maybe he could get some company while he was at it.
He scrambled for his phone in the nightstand and scrolled down a little in his chat list for a contact he rarely texted out of school.
Giyuu
Hi, my mom wants me to go to the mall to run some errands, wanna come?
We can hang out, go get your addict ass a coffee
If you're free
Sanemi felt slightly guilty for the comment, it wasn't as if he and Giyuu didn't get along like that, but they rarely talked through chat, maybe he'd find it weird.
He was about to eliminate the second message when a response came through.
Giyuu
Sure
There's a cafe that sells red bean mochi
The weird ones you're always buying
So we can both be addicts that ruin their organs
Sanemi scoffed, but his brain couldn't help but emphasize the fact that Giyuu had noticed the kind of sweets he liked despite it not being a group joke as constant as Giyuu's own wide knowledge of every coffee shop in town.
“You're grinning like an idiot, what's with that?”
Just when Genya came into the room and pointed it out did Sanemi noticed how big he was smiling, he dropped the gesture and glared at his brother.
“Nothing, why are you here?”
“... It's my room too, you're fucking stupid” Genya rolled his eyes.
Sanemi had to laugh at that, it was still weird to hear his twelve-year-old brother forcing curses to sound older, he was cute.
“Don't let ma’ hear you talking like that, if she sees yesterday's lecture wasn't enough she'll throw you out of the house, or at least isolate you so you're not a bad influence on the others”
“As if you weren't enough of a bad influence for us all” His brother teased and dropped on his bed on the other side of the room, hands roaming to find something in one of the drawers.
“At least my brain is developed enough not to curse within her hearing range, you clearly still can't think that far along”
Genya threw his pillow straight at his head and Sanemi cackled loudly, earning a weirded out expression.
“Is there a single normal thing about you?”
Sanemi was about to answer, but his phone vibrated in his hand and he immediately turned his attention when he saw why
Giyuu
Sure just leave me on read I don't give two shits
I'm gonna climb through your window then
Fucker
Sanemi noticed that while he and his brother bickered, the phone had stayed on and Giyuu had sent another two messages before those asking date and time, which meant he'd indeed left his friend on read. He knew Giyuu was just being dramatic, and that made him giggle.
“What are we laughing at?”
Without warning Genya jumped over him and tried to get a look at his screen, but Sanemi managed to put it down and turn it off.
“Get off you creature! You have another five siblings to bother, why me?”
“You're the most irritable out of them” Genya smirked, and he was right, now Sanemi was irritated. He rolled around in his bed strongly enough for his brother to fall down and land face first on the floor.
“Im gonna sell you for a bag of chips”
Genya was laughing like a maniac on the floor, so much it was contagious and Sanemi started to laugh too.
“You're so weird Gen”
“You like me anyway”
Sanemi wouldn't deny that.
“Whatever, I'm leaving you to keep giggling with your boyfriend”
Satisfied with his hourly round of being annoying, Genya left the room, unaware of the effect his tease had on his brother.
Sanemi knew Genya didn't mean it, he didn't even know he was texting anyone, just wanted to get on his nerves, yet this wasn't the first time he made the comment, and it didn't help with the amount of doubts Sanemi had about the topic.
Every time Genya joked about his relationship with his male friends or his appreciation for any man, he played as dumb as he could without being suspicious, just so his brother wouldn't realize how close to home his jokes actually hit, while his thoughts travelled to one boy with blue eyes and a sharp tongue.
A boy whom Sanemi had just left on read again.
He pulled himself out of his spiral and typed a quick apology (blaming Genya completely, as he should) and sent a date and time.
“So, why did you specifically ask me to come?”
Giyuu’s question didn’t seem to have any malicious intent, merely a way to start a conversation, so Sanemi knew there wasn’t a reason to be nervous at all, much less as nervous as he was.
“It was either you or Tengen and Kyojuro’s obnoxious asses, I would’ve been socially exhausted before we made it to the mall” Truth be told, this could’ve been an outing for all of their friend group, but Giyuu didn't need to know that the idea of sending the invitation through their group chat never crossed Sanemi’s head.
“Besides, you must be the only one I've never gone out with one on one”
Giyuu made a noise of acknowledgement and looked up at the gray sky, he looked more relaxed than usual, he wasn’t smiling, but almost, Sanemi wondered what it would take to get the gesture out of him. Maybe they could get salmon.
“You said you were getting…?”
“Ma’ wanted me to get the kids some school supplies, the twins burn through them like crazy, and if she brings them, they’ll spend too much on useless stuff” Sanemi explained.
It was a plausible excuse to see his friend now that they were on summer break, plus Giyuu rarely answered group chats, so it was a wonder when anyone knew anything about him.
“I see, it's a miracle my cousins don’t need so much, I'm convinced Nezuko only has her pencil case so stacked because she steals everything she finds” The black-haired commented, Sanemi snickered.
“Why are you so sure? You shouldn’t accuse the poor girl”
“Im not accusing her, I'm proud, she learned from me. You remember Tengen’s fancy marker, the one he made a show for when he lost it?” He smirked and Sanemi now laughed properly.
“The bastard deserved it, I'm sure he still has my nice scissors”
“And you bought those?”
“Nah, some dumbass from first grade did”
“Look at the wonderful students kimetsu is shaping, a bunch of thieves”
After a while the laughter and chatter died down again into a comfortable silence, Giyuu still looked constantly at the sky, and finally, Sanemi saw the glimpse of that smile, the little genuine twist of lips that made him look so sweet.
“It smells like rain” Giyuu whispered, and only when he did did Sanemi noticed the scent, he always liked it.
“I hope it doesn’t catch us on the way back”
“I wouldn’t mind”
“Of fucking course not, you live like three streets away” Sanemi jokingly complained as they made their way inside the mall.
“Its four, actually”
Sanemi sighed dramatically while they walked towards the store he wanted, maybe a mall wasn’t ideal for school supplies, but there was a place that sold nice stuff and he’d just gotten paid, god forbid he wanted to spoil his siblings.
Giyuu sometimes commented on his choices, especially when he picked a set of glittery colorful pens, Sanemi could feel heat in his cheeks.
“Sumi is in her creative titles phase, and Teiko dried her markers by mistake” He offered a small explanation without looking at his friend.
Despite his comments, Giyuu eventually also picked a set of spiderman pencils and some children’s cartoon erasers, the kind that didn’t erase shit.
“Shigeru and Rokuta” Was his only response to Sanemi’s quirked eyebrow, as if Giyuu hadn’t dragged all of his friends to see Spiderman for his birthday too.
“Sure”
In the end they each left with a bag severely heavier than it should be, knowing full well the kids they used as scapegoats were just getting about half of what was in there.
“Actually, I'm glad you asked me to come, I had to buy some stuff for weeks and was dragging it out” From there, Giyuu led his friend through no less than five stores, between cat treats and toys, a bunch of hair products, new knee pads that he explained were for his dance practice and a couple comics, he seemed really pleased.
“You really were dragging that out” Sanemi muttered as they left a department store, Giyuu didn’t look at him, too focused on whatever he was typing. He’d just questioned an employee for ten solid minutes about different brands of kitchen mixers and bought nothing.
“What can I say, I’m lazy” He stared at Sanemi once he was done and put away the phone.
“No shit”
Giyuu shrugged “Tsutako’s birthday is coming up, she loves baking, but our mixer is begging to be put down, so im getting her a better one, thing is that, as you probably noticed, I don’t know shit about this, so I told my aunt everything the guy said and hopefully she’ll know better, or at least know someone who does”
He rarely spoke so much, in friends outings, Sanemi could basically count his sentences, and he enjoyed when he got comfortable enough to yap about anything.
“At least you have a lead for a gift, Im shit when it comes to that”
“Bold of you to think the idea was mine, Tanjiro suggested it”
“Of course he did” Sanemi rolled his eyes playfully, he didn’t hate the boy, it was physically impossible to, especially with how close he and Genya were, but god was he annoying from time to time.
“I swear that kid reads minds, he got a gift for his fucking language teacher”
“The one we had?”
“Yes, he got the fucker some book about that guy he never shut up about, I don’t even remember who”
Sanemi knew what Giyuu talked about, but couldn’t remember the author’s name either, just that the teacher would go entire classes talking about the guy and then give them tests about subjects he never had time to teach, they all hated his guts.
“I mean he did get it almost for free in a yard sale, but seriously?”
“Should’ve burnt it and send him the ashes or something”
“I did try to get him to cut it in pieces and hand those in a box” Giyuu offered, seemingly thoughtful, Sanemi barked a laugh at that.
The conversation returned to their former and current teachers and Sanemi felt like an idiot for how much Giyuu’s dry comments about the school were making him laugh, his friend had a way with words that never failed to amuse Sanemi.
They ended up in the cafe Giyuu had mentioned, exchanging snacks and having a conversation so fluid it surprised them both, as they tended to be the quietest ones of their group.
“Don’t you dare let Mitsuri know what I just did” Sanemi warned after ranting about how sappy she and Obanai had gotten after their first anniversary.
“Never, as long as you don’t tell Shinobu I showed you like twenty different pictures of my cat, she might start to think I appreciate the little shit”
“How could I?” Sanemi’s voice dripped with sarcasm, he and everyone who had exchanged more than three words with Giyuu knew he was an absolute sucker for the fat furball he called his pet, it was just a matter of when would he give up in trying to hide it after complaining for months about Tsutako adopting it.
Giyuu knew their little reunion would be over soon if they didn't find something else to do, so he had half a mind to ask Sanemi to go with him to the cinema, but a look through the window changed his plans, he had never downed a cup of coffee so fast.
Sanemi could see the exact second Giyuu realized it was raining outside, as his eyes shined brighter than the lights above them, he emptied the cup in one go and went to pay without even asking Sanemi, but to be fair, he was done with his drink long before Giyuu.
“Let’s go now, I already paid your part”
Sanemi sighed, that was on him, next time he’d pay faster.
Sanemi didn’t get what Giyuu liked about rain, sure, some light drops were nice and fresh, but it was fucking pouring out here, and Giyuu looked as if christmas had arrived early after taking off his jacket and putting it in one of his shopping bags.
“You’re gonna catch a cold”
“Which means I’ll lay in bed for hours feeling like shit, that’s already my routine and now I'll have the plus that Tsutako will feel bad and buy me snacks”
Sanemi scoffed, sitting under the only roofed bench around while Giyuu laid in the one to his right, completely soaked.
“Fucking weird, why take off the jacket?”
“Its new, Tsutako will beat my ass if I get that wet, I was planning on showering as soon as I got back anyway”
Giyuu’s bangs were stuck to his face and all the volume of his hair was gone, making him look shorter on the bench, his clothes were also sticking to his frame and, in the oversize shirt he was in, that made in look like he was wearing a bag of potatoes, water poured down every inch of his body and he honestly resembled his cat that one time he’d got him, Shinobu and Obanai to help him bathe the animal.
Despite the pathetic appearance, Giyuu had his eyes closed and spoke with an ease Sanemi rarely heard. Water drops rolled softly down his face and his long black hair, his skin was shining with the reflection of light over the thin layer of water in his hands and half-bare arms, and his lips were curled in a visible smile. Sanemi couldn’t stop staring, and he was sure Giyuu had never looked more gorgeous, that only he could be soaking wet to the bone by mere choice and still fit that adjective so perfectly. Sanemi smiled at his friend, even if he couldn’t see.
The rain had calmed down to just a drizzle that was barely noticeable, but made a much more tranquil sound, they had spent so long in silence, with Sanemi looking at Giyuu and the latter with his eyes closed, that the white-haired considered his friend might be asleep, until his eyes snapped open and he stood up.
“I was supposed to pick up Tanjiro from his friends house”
Sanemi couldn’t help the genuine laugh at the way Giyuu’s face twisted and he groaned, probably imagining the lecture he’d get when arriving home looking as if he’d just gotten out of a pool and without Tanjiro.
“He’s in Muichiro’s house isn’t he? Gen was invited too, I can ask ma’ to drop him off” Giyuu immediately thanked him and sat next to him in the dry bench to take out his phone, they both made their respective calls, but Sanemi focused on little besides Giyuu’s arm brushing his and the inhumane effort he was doing to avoid getting flustered, thank heavens for the chilly weather.
“Want to stay over for a while? I know you’re walking home and it seems the rain will get heavier again soon, let me get a quick bath and I'll drive you”
Sanemi agreed immediately.
After a few minutes of quietly walking, Giyuu turned and stared at him
“You're shivering,” He stated.
“Why aren't you? Its fucking cold” Sanemi was right, the wind was way colder than it should be in summer and Giyuu, unlike him, was soaking wet.
“Something something fucked up nerves something, i got hypothermia as a kid and now i don't really register cold or heat like i should, or pain”
“What!? How severe did that have to be?” Sanemi had noticed his friend was slow to realize when he'd been hit and hadn't seen him complain once about the weather, but this was surreal.
“My family went to a cabin in the woods for holidays, little idiot me loved to climb trees, i ventured too deep in the forest to find a nice one and got lost, there was a snow storm and it took hours to find me”
Sanemi stopped dead in his tracks, how the hell did Giyuu speak so lightly of that? Why hadn't he ever said anything before?
He asked exactly that, and Giyuu just shrugged and half-smiled.
“It never came up”
Sanemi just shook his head bewildered and they switched topics, eventually falling in a comfortable silence as Giyuu lost himself in the constant tap of droplets over him. A few minutes went by before the quiet was broken.
“That's why I like water, I think, especially heavy rain, I can feel it, like really feel it, it's all over me and strong enough to stick and awaken my nerves, nice”
Again, Giyuu sounded like he was in a dream, unbothered and soft, only when he returned his gaze did Sanemi realize he himself was barely blinking.
“You really seem too cold, want my jacket?” It was honestly pathetic how fast Sanemi nodded, especially considering Giyuu's place wasn't even ten minutes away anymore. Still, having the fabric over him was more comforting than he dared admit, it was warm and smelt freshly washed, though the scent of coffee lingered too, it smelt like Giyuu.
Sanemi put his frozen hands in the jacket’s pockets and tried to drown the funny feeling in his chest, since Giyuu didn't seem even slightly affected by the whole situation, probably there wasn't any tension and it was just Sanemi descending to insanity.
Once in the apartment Giyuu didn't ask for the jacket back, so Sanemi didn't give it, it was slightly tight on his frame, since Giyuu was more slim, but not so much that it was uncomfortable, in fact, Sanemi didn't own a piece of clothing more comfortable than this black jacket.
“Hey, it's not like my nerve thing is a secret or anything, but it also tends to drown the mood and gets me pity looks, so if you don't mind…”
“Don't worry, I won't say a thing” Sanemi assured.
“Thanks, you can mention it with me, i don't mind, but maybe try to avoid it with the others, specially my family, it's… not something they like to remember”
Giyuu smiled when Sanemi reassured him again.
“Now I'm taking that shower, make yourself at home, anything you find in the kitchen is yours but make sure you don't leave food outside, fat as you see him, Kanza can and will jump on any surface if it means eating”
Sanemi chuckled, trying to disguise whatever feeling had him so overwhelmed, once Giyuu disappeared up the stairs he dropped on the couch and took a deep breath, leaning on the cushions with a groan.
Now he realized he felt fucking giddy seeing Giyuu trusted him enough to leave him alone in his house, he'd been here before, when it was his friend's turn to host movie nights or whatever stupid plan the group had, but never on his own.
The infamous cat, Kanzaburo, made his appearance at the other end of the couch, the animal deliberately ignored him and curled right there in his favourite spot, Sanemi knew he wasn't asleep, but he wasn't exactly the animal’s favourite person, so acting as if each other didn't exist was their best shot.
Opposing to this, frankly rational, deal, Sanemi offered a tentative hand to the cat, curling his fingers lightly in the way that made Genya's cat realize he wanted to pet him, apparently it didn't work with Kanzaburo, since it hissed at him and returned its face to the couch.
“Rude”
He could guess why the cat and Giyuu connected so well.
Being technically alone and lying in Giyuu's living room as if it was his own, Sanemi allowed his doubts to crowd his brain, trying to come to a conclusion about his feelings.
He knew he liked girls, he'd had a couple crushes and a girlfriend that he knew he felt attraction towards, but recently he had started to consider and partially accept that he might like boys too, hell he maybe even had a type. He'd never said it out loud but partially already considered himself as bisexual, and probably had his first actual male crush.
Sanemi didn't have a problem with that, but voicing it still made him nervous to some extent. He knew his friends would be totally accepting, as all of them were a part of the community, even Giyuu himself had admitted to having his first crush and kiss with a boy, but still, Sanemi had been raised by a conservative and openly homophobic man.
While Sanemi hated him and he thankfully wasn't in their lives anymore, the shame Kyogo had carved into his brain was difficult to get out of, and kept him from being sincere with his friends or family, fearing the latter had adopted their father's bigotry and would look at him differently, it would destroy him, it terrified him.
And yet, he knew there was no platonic explanation to the levels of adoration he'd felt seeing Giyuu under the rain, even now the image was clearly imprinted in his brain, and Sanemi was perfectly aware of how differently he'd have reacted if he'd shared that situation with any other friend.
The warmth in his chest every time Giyuu showed appreciation towards him, or simply genuine joy, didn't feel like the kind he felt when Obanai talked happily about Kaburamaru, or when Masachika remembered the fruits he didn't like, or when Mitsuri backed him up with their team during football matches, even if no one else did.
Sanemi valued these things too, and deeply so, they were his best friends, but the feeling wasn't even vaguely similar, then again, it also wasn't the same between those three, so maybe it was just another close friendship he was misunderstanding.
Soon after being left alone, his dilemma was too much and he decided to ravage the kitchen, ending up with a chocolate bar and an apple as his wonder of a combination. He sat on the kitchen table and scrolled through his phone for a while, waiting for Giyuu to return. What kind of shower could take so damn long?
Finally, after what felt like hours, his host was back with nothing but a weakly muttered apology, Giyuu headed straight for the coffee maker while he talked about a movie he'd heard somewhere and wanted to see.
“Wanna watch with me? If it is that bad at least we'll have something to complain about” This meant staying over at least two more hours, and it sounded like heaven.
“I can order us something to eat” Sanemi offered with a smile, and he could swear Giyuu's eyes sparkled.
He made the call and also told his ma about the situation so she wouldn't worry, all while Giyuu made popcorn and put on the movie. Sanemi returned to his spot on the couch and Giyuu headed for its other side, but Kanzaburo was still there, so still Sanemi imagined the couch would have a crater with his shape when he finally moved.
Giyuu and the cat went into an intense stare contest, the animal didn't move a single muscle from place, so Giyuu eventually gave in with an exasperated sigh and plopped down right next to Sanemi, totally ignoring the other couch, larger and absolutely free.
“You're so rude” Giyuu frowned cutely at the animal, who stopped paying them any attention once his place was secured and was sleeping again.
The movie started playing and Giyuu leaned back easily against Sanemi, leaving the popcorn on his guest’s lap and resting his head on his chest as if it were a part of the furniture.
Sanemi's heart beat so hard he was sure Giyuu was feeling it and that just made him more flustered, he had no clue what was going on the screen, eyes locked on his friend's relaxed frame.
Giyuu's weight on him didn't feel like something external, it fit like a part of his body he was just now realizing had been missing, his damp hair brushing against Sanemi's neck, his shoulders rising softly with his breathing, and slightly more pronounced when he scoffed at the screen, the way he lazily twirled thin locks of his damp, loose hair from time to time. Everything felt right, known. Like a long lost memory rebuilding itself before his eyes, a man who knew there was a place he had always been meant to take in his heart.
Oh
Oh
Sanemi didn't have a crush.
Sanemi was in love.
The realization hit him so hard he didn't register the film again until Giyuu pointed out some plot hole, which he couldn't register no matter how hard he tried.
Food arrived and vanished in minutes, as both teenagers were unaware of how hungry they actually were.
“What?” Giyuu asked out of the blue.
“What?”
“Do I have something on my face? You're staring”
Oh shit, he indeed was staring.
“Yeah, there's something on your forehead” Thank whoever was up there for Giyuu being such a messy eater. “Here”
Sanemi picked a napkin and softly wiped the sauce on Giyuu's forehead, unsure of being able to directly touch his face without imploding in his living room.
Kanzaburo had finally gotten bored and left the room, so after getting their takeout Giyuu went for the now-free opposite end of the couch, which Sanemi mourned tremendously, sure the jacket helped, but he now felt a weird, uncomfortable chill, which stayed for the remaining time of the movie.
“I can't believe you wasted two and half hours of your life on this movie ‘yuu, especially because I warned you about it”
The new voice startled Sanemi, he rose from the couch immediately and turned to be met with Tsutako, who was just arriving home and stared in disgust at the screen.
“Hello to you too Tsu” Giyuu rolled his eyes.
“Oh, hello Sanemi! I hadn't seen you” Her expression immediately turned gentle and, momentarily ignoring her brother, she smiled, which Sanemi returned alongside the greeting.
“Not only do you waste your own time, but also force your friend to share your misery”
Sanemi would never use that word to describe these two hours.
“I had to see for myself, and Sanemi agreed, right?”
“Yes, plus it wasn't that bad”
The only thing he could recall about the film were the cute gestures it got out of Giyuu, the small frowns, the twists of lips, the eyeroll and the amused laugh. So when both Tsutako and Giyuu looked at him as if he'd just said the sky was red, he didn't try to defend his point and just shrugged.
“Anyway, I've abducted you for long enough, let me drive you home” Giyuu started to rise from the couch, and Sanemi followed.
“The sky is falling out there, like hell am I letting you drive in that weather, get in my car you both”
Giyuu sighed, but didn't argue, after what he'd confessed, Sanemi now understood why he never fought his sister's overprotection, and, while he would've loved more time alone with him, maybe it wasn't the best idea, not when his head was still spinning.
“Thank you for this, Tsutako-san, I'm sorry for making you do another round”
“Don't be at all, Sanemi, in fact I should thank you for dragging my little brother's ass out of his room, please do it more often” She laughed and Giyuu groaned, which made Sanemi laugh too.
“You don't get out of the house that much either…”
“But I'm the oldest”
“What does that have to do?”
“I could say that I work and I want to rest after a long week, but I don't need any argument besides: i was born first, suck it up”
“Seriously? And in front of my friends? You abuse your power. Tell her Sanemi”
Sanemi was laughing when addressed, and it took him a moment to stop, realizing Tsutako was also giggling softly.
“I'm sorry Giyuu, she's right, it's a privilege”
“Fuck you both”
The conversation kept flowing on the way, Tsutako was as talkative as her brother was quiet, so it wasn't hard, and it helped keep Sanemi out of his head.
Finally, they arrived, and thankfully the rain had faded again, so Sanemi didn't have to run to his porch and could say his goodbyes properly.
“Thank you again Tsutako-san, and Giyuu, will I see you at Mitsuri's next week, right?”
“Ohhh so you do have plans for next week, don't even think about staying in your cave”
“Sanemi. Why?” Giyuu let his head fall and his forehead hit the board of the car.
“So it's a yes” Sanemi smirked, and his friend glared at him.
“Yes. Shinazugawa, it's a yes”
With that, he turned and went inside, noticing how they didn't leave until he was safely inside the house.
The next twenty minutes were a hell of enduring an interrogation conducted by six kids and his mom about his day, his friend, his next plans, and a large etcetera, and Sanemi had to go above and beyond to escape.
In the temporary solitude of his room, until Genya got bored of playing Minecraft with Hiroshi and Sumi at least, and still wrapped in a jacket he did not own, Sanemi tried to think about his next step.
Sure, there were feelings, but how could he possibly act on them? Should he confess? Should he ask Giyuu out on an actual date? Did today count as one? Did Giyuu even consider that possibility? Would Giyuu have the most remote interest in him romantically? Sanemi couldn't really see it, he was unconsciously loud, rude, self-centered and not exactly attractive, even without considering his scars.
Giyuu was gorgeous, smart, and his mysterious attitude was attractive in itself, he could do so much better.
Giyuu was also someone easy to enjoy having around, he managed to make a sarcastic comment out of almost everything and make it funny, but he was also empathetic, and a great listener. His eyes, in such a deep shade of blue, were so kind it made Sanemi want to break into pieces, he was so talented, the one time he and his friends had been invited to his dance recitals, Sanemi had been mesmerized, now it made sense why.
He was the incarnation of grace, from the way he moved on the dance floor to the way he walked, he spoke, he laughed. His voice was just as beautiful, not overly loud like Sanemi's, the even pitch and slight accent in it made it his favourite sound.
Giyuu was also the most clever person he knew, he debated smart and always knew what to say to get his way, he understood things quickly and sometimes even explained to Sanemi if he didn't, always genuinely and without asking for anything in return, never acting superior because of it. He looked really beautiful when he concentrated.
Then, Sanemi took notice of the giant smile plastered in his face, and realized that for now, it didn't really matter what he did next or what they were, if they stayed friends or became a couple, if Giyuu reciprocated or not. At the end of the day, being in love with him was the best feeling he had ever experienced.
